The Gumball 3000 Rally is one of the most extreme car rallies in the world. It combines a 3000 mile trip, VIP parties, awesome scenerey and A-lister celebrity participation! Each car HAS to be a super-car! We are all used to the typical extreme sports, free-running, skateboarding and snowboarding, the usual stuff that you guys and gals get up too with a can of No Fear Extreme Energy in your pocket to keep you on fire and your moves in sync! However, there’s a world of extreme sports out there and, every now and then, we figured it would be good to introduce you to a whole new variety of extreme sports, just to keep you completely fresh.

Today we are introducing you to the world of Parahawking. Yes, it involves birds, not the human female variety, but the winged species, and, some pretty extreme winged species if we do say so ourselves. So, Parahawking is the art of training birds of prey to fly with paragliders. How extreme, awesome and fearless is that? Imagine, paragliding, high up in the sky with a bald eagle on your arm. Life does not get much better! Surely?

Parahawking was developed and pioneered in 2001 in Pokhara, Nepal by Dagenham born Scott Mason and his expert friends. By combining Paragliding with the ancient art of Falconry, they were able to train birds of prey to fly alongside the paraglider. The birds even assist in guiding man to thermal air currents and even more daringly, perform aerobatic manoeuvres.

Parahawking is a new extreme sport but it’s about more than just thrills. It has serious conservation and environmental goals. The birds used have been rescued and nursed back to health rather than captured from the wild.

Most extreme sports are about understanding your body, how it moves, how it works, becoming in tune with the world around you as you jump over a wall, as you make that awesome boarding manoeuvre.What we love about Parahawking is that not only is it about pure skill and attention to the air currents above, it is about completely being in-tune with nature, flying with some of the most awesome birds that we share this incredible planet with. For that reason, we think Parahawking rocks!

In total, two funding packages are lined up within the following disciplines: Extreme Art & Music and Extreme Sport. Whatever the talent, as long as it falls within those areas, No Fear Extreme Energy wants to hear from you.

On Sunday 5th June, the top five liked videos within each category will then be put to a expert judging panel. The judges will on Monday 13th June 2011 select the two lucky individuals to receive the sponsorship packages.

Continued Neal: “We’ll obviously be looking for a person who has a flair for art/sport/music, but particularly, we’ll be looking for someone who stands out from the crowd, someone who does something different – who is innovative in their talent and takes the lead. I want to find a guy or a girl who has star quality, with extreme energy, passion and enthusiasm running through them.”

The criteria for the competition is simple, entrants must be:
• UK based
• Unsigned
• Receive NO funding from any other drinks brand or organisation
• Willing to take part in media activity

The winner from each category will be notified on Tuesday 14th June 2011 and will become part of No Fear Extreme Energy’s ‘Extreme Line-Up 2011’.
